Chairs' Instructions
- Please be seated at the Next Chair's Seat (to the front right of the room) 10 minutes prior to the session you will be chairing.
- There will be announcements made at the beginning of the sessions. Please start when the announcements made. Please use the timer on the Chairs' desk as necessary. Yellow light will turn on at one minute before the end of the session. Red light will turn on at the end of the session.
- The time schedule is very tight. Please finish the session on time.
Plenary sessions & Concurrent oral sessions
Plenary sessions: 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion.
Concurrent oral sessions: 9 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion.
Timer is set at the podium. Yellow light will turn on at one minute before the end of the session. Red light will turn on at the end of the session.
3-minute presentation and discussion
3 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion.
Screen will change for next presenter when the presentation time ends.
Oral presenters’ Instructions
1) Presentation Time
The time schedule is very tight. Please keep the allotted time strictly.
- Invited Speakers:
- As announced individually.
- Plenary and Concurrent Speakers:
- Plenary Session I・II・III 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes discussion
Concurrent Oral Session1~12 9 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes discussion- Timer is set at the podium. Yellow light will turn on at one minute before the end of the session. Red light will turn on at the end of the session.
- Please be seated at the Next Speaker's Seat (in front of the podium) 10 minutes prior to your presentation time.
- All presentations should be performed in English.
(For concurrent oral sessions, discussions may be conducted in Japanese.)
- 3-minutes presentation and discussion:
- 3 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes discussion
- 3 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion
- Screen will change for next presenter when your presentation time ends.
- Please gather in front of the podium 10 minutes prior to your presentation time.
- All presentations should be performed in English.
(Coauthors can make the presentations instead of the first authors.)
2) Presentation style
Oral Presentation
(Plenary sessions, Concurrent oral sessions and 3-minutes presentation and discussion)
You can choose these presentation style for oral presentation.
Secretariat office will confirm your presentation style before around one and half month. All presenters are required to pay your registration fee, accommodation and travel expense by yourself. Please be careful that secretariat office cannot cover your cancellation fee of air ticket and/or hotel.
- (1) On-site presentation
You come to the meeting venue (Nagasaki, Japan) and give your presentation at podium by using computer, with one screen. - (2) Online presentation
We will prepare Zoom meeting system and please log in there on your presentation date & time. You are requested to present your lecture by using “Share screen” function. After your presentation, chair will start your question and answer session. - (3) Submit pre-recorded data
Please register the lecture video in advance.
During the meeting, the meeting secretariat office will deliver a lecture video as per the timetable. We are very delighted if oversea speakers in plenary and concurrent sessions could join the session via Zoom for Q&A.
- All oral presentations must be presented in English.
- All accepted abstracts, including Plenary and Concurrent oral presentations, are requested to prepare digital posters.
3) For presenters at on-site
<Presentation Data>
- Only computer presentation is available.
- Data in USB flash memory drive or PC are accepted. (CD-R is not allowed.)
- Operating systems available are Windows. There will be no Macintosh computers available at the venue. Please bring your own PC if you wish to use Macintosh.
- Application software available are Windows PowerPoint 2019.
- All presentation data should be prepared in English.

When bringing your data in notebook computers
- Western Japan, including Nagasaki, is on 100 V, 60 Hz. The plug type in Japan is type A with two flat blades without a ground pin, the same type widely used in the US and Canada.
- Speakers' notebook computers must be equipped with a D-Sub 15-pin output, standard monitor terminal. Some thin, light-weighted notebook computers, such as SONY VAIO Note and Apple PowerBook G4 may not have built-in ports.
- Speakers are requested to bring their own adapter for connection between PC and projector, and/or an electric transformer when these are necessary.

When bringing your data in USB memory
- After saving the presentation data on the USB memory, please confirm that the data can be activated at other PCs.
- The data will be copied onto the server and USB memory will be returned to the speaker.
- Presentation files should be named as "abstract number_name".
i.e.) P01-01_JohnBrown, LS2_MarySmith (presentation file extensions may be .ppt or .pptx) - Use standard fonts on the OS. Use of specialized fonts may cause garbling and displacement.
[Recommended fonts]
Arial or Times New Roman - Animations and movies may be used, though it is highly recommended to be used with your own notebook computer. When bringing them in USB memory, comply with the below:
- Only wmv format files are accepted. Other formats are unacceptable
- Save the movie data in the same folder, so the link with the PowerPoint will be maintained
- It is recommended that you bring your own PC as backup to the movie data
- Please let the operator know if you are using sound data
- The presentation data will be deleted by the secretariat responsibly.
- All energy-conserving functions such as screen-savers, sleep/power saving modes should be disabled on laptops to be used in the presentation.
2) PC operation during your presentation
- Liquid-crystal display monitor, keyboard, and mouse will be set on the podium. Please turn to the next page by yourself. If you have difficulties with PC operations, please inform the secretariat in advance.
4) For presenters online
If you cannot come to the venue, you could choose online presentation or Prerecorded presentation as follows.
- Online presentation (Only for presenters of Plenary sessions, Concurrent oral sessions)
- (1) Please log in our Zoom meeting system (we will let you know the URL later) and present your slide with using “Share screens” function.
- (2) After you finish your presentation, chairs will start Q&A session for your lecture. Please answer the question from chairs or participants.
5)For presenters submitted pre-recorded data
- (1) Please prepare your lecture data movie (MP4 file or PPT file with narration).
(Deadline for oral presentation data: Tuesday, November 15 (tentative)) - (2) Secretariat office will deliver your lecture video as per the timetable.
- (3) When you prepare your presentation data, please check the cautions of followings.
- All presenters must disclose COI (Conflict of Interest) on your slide.
- Please keep the allotted time strictly.
Concurrent oral sessions: 9 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion
3-minute presentation and discussion: 3 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion- Please include Session name, abstract number, lecture title, name and affiliation.
- Please prepare your presentation data in 2GB or less.
- Please prepare your presentation data by PowerPoint*1 *2 file with narration or MP4 movie file.
- *1 Version of MS PowerPoint: Windows: 2019/Mac: 2019
- *2 For Macintosh users
- Out screen ratio is 16:9.
- Please use standard fonts on OS.
- (4) After livestreaming your lecture video, chairs will start Q&A session for your lecture via Zoom. We would let you know Zoom URL.
Poster presenters’ Instructions
- Please register your digital poster data in advance.
- Please check the "Data Registration (Poster)" page on this website and register.
We will update our website around mid October.
Poster presentation and discussion
All accepted abstracts, including Plenary and Concurrent oral presentations, are requested to prepare digital posters.
For more information, please visit the "Data Registration (Oral and Poster)".
Questions from participants will be sent directly to the email address of the presenter who registered in advance. Please answer as much as possible.
Concerning Conflict of Interest
All speakers must disclose any COI (Conflict of Interest) on your slide of the presentation.
All Poster Presenters must disclose COI (Conflict of Interest) on your poster.

Request to the Japanese Presenters

Only the members of the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology are able to present their work at the annual meeting. It is requested that non-members join the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology by downloading the application form from the JSID website.
